The mission of the Audit & Assurance group is to provide clients with an independent and objective view of their financial condition and results of operations while maximizing the transparency and reliability of financial information provided to investors, creditors and other stakeholders for their use in making timely investment and business decisions.
Audit
When you work with Hill Fogg as your auditor, you have the highest level of assurance that your financial statements are accurately and fairly stated in all material respects, according to your financial reporting framework. By carefully examining your unique internal records and controls, identifying risks, and collecting evidence, we produce financial documentation that adheres to generally accepted accounting principles and that supports the accuracy and reliability of your financial statements.
Review
While a review may reveal issues that impact your financial statements, it provides only limited assurance that your statements do not require any material modifications. Hill Fogg’s scope of review is founded on our understanding of your organization and the environment in which it operates. When conducting a review, we analyze account balances, financial ratios and procedures, make inquiries, and gather management representations. The results we provide enable your organization to state that it is not aware of any material modifications that should be made to financial statements in order to conform to generally accepted accounting principles and other reporting frameworks.
Employee Benefits Plan Audit
Hill Fogg has the breadth of experience and up-to-date technical expertise to help your business meet its employee benefit plan audit requirements. We provide government-standard audit and consulting services for plans of all sizes and complexity, including single and multi-employer plans, pension and cash balance plans, 401(k) plans, profit-sharing, and employee stock ownership plans.
Compilation
Compilation services help businesses to structure their financial statements in compliance with the disclosure requirements of generally accepted accounting principles and other required reporting frameworks. Note that a compilation report is not designed to provide assurance about the accuracy of information in the financial statements, but that it does indicate that the information is represented by the business managers and that Hill Fogg has no opinion on the content.
Additional Attestation Services
Hill Fogg offers clients many other specialized attestation services including:
- Agreed upon procedures agreements

- Reporting on pro forma financial information
